Measured Behaviour

Scenario at RCA Design Interactions, 2009.

In response to a brief by T-Mobile Creation Center Berlin, Measured Behaviour looked at the processes and people behind the establishment of rules of etiquette.

Etiquette have both divided society along class borders and bridged these gaps, yet their creation and implementation has never been a democratic process. Who creates codes of behaviour, and how are they developed? Does quantifying rules give them more authority?

This project draws a parallel to the standardisation of physical units and creates a series of objects that a semi-fictional Society for International Etiquette would have built to both embody and represent specific Etiquette.
